Fifth symposium of Society of Coloproctologists opens in Belgrade

President of the Society of Coloproctologists of Yugoslavia Zoran Krivokapic announced today that the fifth international symposium from October 19 to 21 will gather over 100 guests from abroad who are world’s top coloproctologists.
Krivokapic announced attendance of guests from England, Italy, the United States, Austria, Germany, Russia, Poland, Israel, Turkey, Belgium, Lithuania, Greece, Slovakia, Switzerland, India, Slovenia, Japan and Hungary, as well as more than 600 doctors from Serbia and neighbouring countries.
The fact that 45 out of 100,000 people in Serbia suffer from colon problems is worrying, he said and announced a national programme of early diagnosis of colon cancer.
President of the scientific committee of the Society of Coloproctologists Dragoslav Stevovic announced that a parallel symposium will take place for nurses who work on coloproctology wards.
This symposium, which will take place in the Sava Centre, will include lectures and presentations of new achievements in coloproctology in the field of prevention and treatment of colon cancer.
