Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, visited today, together Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić“Saint Archdeacon Stefan – 9 January” hospital in Trebinje, where he stated that Serbia will continue to support the development of Republika Srpska through concrete projects and cooperation that brings results and a better life for the people on both sides of the Drina River.

Macut emphasised that the magnificent hospital in Trebinje represents an important success for the healthcare system of Republika Srpska and the entire region of eastern Herzegovina, and added that it is a modern healthcare facility for the 21st century.
The new hospital, opened on 5 January, covers an area of more than 17,000 square metres, has 223 beds and is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, he said, adding that this significantly improved the conditions for treating patients in the entire region, as well as the working conditions of healthcare workers.
Healthcare knows no boundaries, only the quality that citizens can receive. Such projects show how important it is to invest in healthcare, infrastructure and the quality of life of citizens, the Prime Minister said.
Macut also participated in the International Symposium “Endocrinology and Diabetology in Practice” in Trebinje, where he gave a lecture.
