Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, today spoke with the deans and vice-deans of technical faculties in Serbia about advancing higher education in the field of technical and engineering sciences, aligning study programmes with modern technological and economic trends, and strengthening cooperation between academia, the state and the business sector.

Prime Minister Macut discussed several topics with his interlocutors, including enrolment policy and labour market demand for skilled personnel, the process of digitalisation in higher education, modernisation of curricula and scientific research, as well as the application and development of artificial intelligence in the education and technology sector.
They also discussed creating conditions for retaining young engineers and experts in Serbia, especially considering that these are sciences that are at the centre of the country’s scientific and technological development.
