Ministry of Education, Provincial Secretariat form a joint team

Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic said today that in agreement with Provincial secretary for education and culture Zoltan Jeges, a joint team has been formed which will deal with all segments of education in Serbia.
Speaking at a press conference held at Vojvodina's Executive Council, Vuksanovic said that the team will deal in the first place with essential systemic issues, but with all individual problems of elementary and secondary schools and faculties as well. This will be resolved in the quickest way possible because representatives of the Ministry of Education and Sport and the Provincial Secretariat for Education and Culture will meet on regular basis in the future the minister stated.
He said that certain current problems, such as the resolution of the issue of permanent financing of bilingual teaching at the faculties of the Novi Sad university, were mentioned at today's meeting as well.
The Minister said that agreement has been reached with representatives of the Secretariat ensuring that additional space and financial means be set aside for the Faculty of Philology in Novi Sad in order to secure the enrolment of students of Serbian nationality from Vukovar.
