First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali announced today that applications for volunteers for Expo 2027 will open on 15 May, inviting all adult citizens to apply and be part of the world’s largest event next year.
Speaking at the presentation of the volunteer programme for Expo 2027, Mali specified that Specialised Expo 2027 currently has 137 confirmed participating countries, noting that this is an excellent opportunity for Serbia.
Following this successful event, Serbia will be a country with even faster growth and development, as well as new programmes and ideas, the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
He added that 20,000 volunteers are needed for the successful organisation of the Expo, noting that formal registration on the ExpoPlaymakers platform will begin on 15 May, that applicants must be over 18, and that there will be no application deadline.
Mali explained that interviews with each potential volunteer will be conducted by the end of the year.
The event was also attended by ambassadors of the volunteer programme – taekwondo athlete Tijana Bogdanović and goalkeeper of Serbia’s national water polo team Milan Glušac.
