Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, discussed today with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Annette Kyobe, current macroeconomic developments, fiscal policy and further cooperation.
Macut emphasised that the Government remains committed to preserving macroeconomic stability, while strengthening the resilience of the economy and protecting the living standards of citizens.
The meeting also touched upon global economic challenges and their impact on the region and Serbia, as well as current macroeconomic developments.
The importance of structural reforms, improving the business environment and implementing priority projects to strengthen the economy was particularly emphasised.
It was assessed that the previous cooperation with the IMF contributes to the credibility of Serbia’s economic policy and a favorable investment environment.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Jorgovanka Tabaković.
