Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today, on the eve of tomorrow’s International Roma Day, with representatives of the National Council of the Roma National Minority about improving the community’s position and further strengthening inclusive policies in Serbia.

Macut said that the Government of Serbia will continue to implement measures aimed at enhancing the quality of life of the Roma community and building a society of equal opportunities for all.
At the meeting, discussion focused on the importance of systemic measures in the areas of education, employment, healthcare and social protection, as well as on the challenges faced by the Roma, alongside the positive progress achieved through joint activities in the previous period.
The need for further investments in the education of young people and their greater inclusion in the labour market was particularly emphasised.
