Government adopts several documents, decisions

The Serbian government adopted today several documents and decisions necessary for the work of state bodies, including the Decree on nominal amounts and the manner of harmonising the threshold for exercising the right to child allowance and the amount and manner of harmonising the amount of child allowance, for which an additional RSD 950 million have been provided in the budget.

With this decree, starting from 1 April 2026, the threshold for exercising the right to child allowance has been increased by approximately RSD 5,000, i.e. from the previous RSD 13,247 to RSD 18,000.

For single-parent families, the threshold has been increased by 30 percent and amounts to RSD 23,400, and for guardians and parents of a child with developmental disabilities and a child with a disability for whom there is an opinion of an interdepartmental commission formed in accordance with regulations in the field of education, and who does not use accommodation services, the threshold has been increased by 20 percent and amounts to RSD 21,600.

The thresholds for exercising the right to child allowance are adjusted on 1 January and 1 July with the movement of the consumer price index on the territory of Serbia in the previous six months.

Government members also gave their consent to a series of reports on the work of various agencies, directorates and financial operations.

The conclusions on conducting public debates on draft laws in various areas were also adopted at the session.
