Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar said late yesterday that the implementation of the new constitution of Serbia is to take place, which means holding elections for all authorities, defined by the constitution.

That would mean holding general elections at all levels, within a deadline set by the law for the implementation of the constitution, Loncar explained.
That law, just like the Constitution, will have to be based on a wide political consensus, which formally means at least two-third majority in Serbian parliament, Loncar pointed out and added that the Serbian government's position is that the elections should be held as soon as possible.
The date of holding the elections will depend on the speed of reaching such consensus.
