Commission investigates suspicious cases in emergency medical service

Member of a special commission for supervision of the emergency medical service Branislav Nicic said today that a three-member body is investigating the cases of alleged connection between doctors and private undertakers.

Nicic told a press conference that at this moment he cannot say what the truth is as material to be investigated is large and that the investigation demands time.
This working group still claims that emergency medicine in Serbia operates at a satisfactory level, he said noting that the group will investigate the work of two doctors who are suspected of cooperation with private undertakers.
The group will define a national programme for emergency medicine in Serbia and will come up with guidelines for good practice in the emergency medical service.
