Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with the President of the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Lord Kulveer Ranger, to discuss the enhancement of economic cooperation and the strengthening of trade relations between Serbia and the United Kingdom (UK).

Macut emphasised that the two countries are linked by a historic friendship, noting that there are numerous opportunities to intensify investment activities, connect business communities and implement joint projects of mutual interest.
He pointed to particular scope for improving cooperation in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, education and others.
The Prime Minister assessed that the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce is one of the key pillars for strengthening economic relations between the two countries, bearing in mind its contribution to the development of the business environment and the fact that, through concrete projects, investments and business partnerships, it directly contributes to the growth of the Serbian economy and the creation of new jobs.
Ranger noted that cooperation between Serbia and the United Kingdom is entering a new phase, based on stable institutional dialogue and a long-term partnership.
