Culture projects competition open till October 1

Serbian Assistant Minister of Culture Aleksandar Jugovic said today that the Ministry’s Competition for 2007 for co-financing programmes/projects will be open until October 1 and noted that 750 million dinars have been set aside for the competition.
Jugovic told a press conference that the Competition refers to 12 areas, namely film industry, literature, music, scenic and music art, theatre, fine arts, amateurship and folklore.
The Competition also covers publication of periodicals and international cultural cooperation significant for Serbia, programmes for talented young artists, scientific and research works and projects in Kosovo-Metohija and the south of Serbia, he said.
According to Jugovic there will be competitions for stimulating capital works of literature and contemporary arts, purchase of books, programmes for national minorities and stimulating cinematography.
