At the ceremony to present the Saint Sava Awards at the Serbian government building, Macut stated that today recognition is given to those who, through their knowledge, work and sincere dedication, represent the best face of our educational and scientific system.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the Saint Sava Award is not only a confirmation of exceptional results, but also a symbol of the values that we as a society deeply respect and wish to pass on to future generations – knowledge, responsibility, creativity and service to the common good.
He congratulated all the awarded pupils, students, teachers, scientists and institutions, telling them that by their example they show that Serbia has a strong foundation, as well as a secure, intelligent and dignified future.
The Serbian government will continue to invest strongly in education, science and upbringing, as this represents the most important and long-term investment in our country, stated Professor Macut, MD, DSc.
