Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adriana Mesarović today awarded 32 certificates for traditional and artistic crafts at the Ethnographic Museum, announcing that a support programme in the form of grants for all those engaged in traditional handicrafts will be launched in the coming month.

After the award ceremony, Mesarović stated that nations which take the preservation of their identity seriously systematically seek and find ways to safeguard every form and aspect of folk skill and creativity that testifies to their continuity.
With the disappearance of traditional crafts and domestic handicrafts, we do not lose just a skill, but a part of our own cultural code – the values that shape the community and the heritage that connects us, Mesarović explained.
