During the meeting, participants discussed the current economic and social situation in the country, the improvement of the position of employees, social dialogue and challenges facing workers in various sectors.
Macut noted that the government remains committed to strengthening social dialogue and partnership-based relationship with unions, emphasising that constructive cooperation is key to preserving labour market stability and the country’s further economic development.
Mihajlović pointed to the importance of continuous dialogue with the government and presented union proposals for improving labour rights and the living standards of employees.
The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to continue regular communication and joint work on resolving issues of importance to employees and the overall socio-economic development of the Republic of Serbia.
