Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, today expressed his condolences to the citizens of Spain and to Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez following the tragedy that struck the country, in which at least 39 people lost their lives and many others were injured in a railway accident.

“It was with great sadness that this morning we received the news of a large number of victims in the railway tragedy in Spain. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the citizens of our country, and in my own name, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Serbia stands with friendly Spain at this painful moment,” Macut stated.
