Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić today wished all citizens of Serbia a happy New Year and the upcoming holidays, wishing them health, peace and progress.
“We have left behind a year full of challenges, which required perseverance and great dedication from police officers and firefighters.
Despite this, we managed to preserve security and stability and at the same time emerge from the previous year even more responsible, but also stronger.
On the eve of the New Year, I would like to remind you that security implies shared responsibility, and that only with mutual understanding, solidarity and respect for the law can we build a safe and stable society, in which the Ministry of the Interior is a reliable partner.
In the coming year, we will continue to work on strengthening the capacities of the police and firefighters, improving working conditions and modernizing the system, because every investment directly affects a more stable future.
In 2026, members of the Ministry of the Interior will strive to work even more dedicatedly, with the aim of further improving security, order and stability and creating conditions for a peaceful and safe life for all citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
On behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and on my own behalf, I wish all citizens of Serbia to spend the holidays in peace, with their loved ones, with responsible behavior and mutual respect, and that the coming year 2026 will be more successful in every respect,” the Deputy Prime Minister’s congratulatory message states.
