Green transformation one of strategic policies of Serbian government

Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, said today at the final event of the national environmental campaign for youth “Nature Has No Alternative. So Take Action Too!” that green transformation is one of the government’s strategic policies and that there is no partner that is more important on this path than young people.

Macut emphasised that the slogan of this campaign reflects what we as a society will strive for in the coming decades.

He said that the Serbian government will continue to invest in green and environmental projects, renewable energy sources and innovations that create new jobs for young people, as well as to support schools and universities in developing environmental programmes, research and student initiatives.

We will continue to build a culture of dialogue, in which every good idea can become a concrete solution, Macut underlined and thanked young people for understanding that nature truly has no alternative, as it is our greatest resource and our greatest responsibility.

The major national environmental campaign “Nature Has No Alternative. So Take Action Too!" was launched by the Ministry of Environmental Protection on 1 September, with the aim of encouraging joint engagement in nature conservation throughout Serbia.
