Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated today during a meeting with Director General for Public Security of the Federal Police of the Republic of Austria Franz Ruf that the two countries’ police forces are achieving successful cooperation both at the operational and strategic levels.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that the Serbian police is a reliable partner and expressed gratitude to the Austrian side for the support it provides to Serbia in the field of combating irregular migration through a trilateral initiative, as well as within the EU, through cooperation with Frontex.
Dačić and Ruf assessed that there is intensive cooperation between the two police forces in the fight against organised crime, terrorism and border security, concluding that they will work on its further improvement through the organisation of joint training.
