Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić spoke today with National Security Adviser of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Jonathan Powell about the current security situation.
Dačić pointed out that the relevant services of the Ministry of the Interior have had excellent international cooperation with the UK National Crime Agency and HM Revenue and Customs for many years.
Powell praised cooperation between the two countries in the field of security and internal affairs, especially on issues of combating irregular migration and human smuggling.
The interlocutors reached an agreement that Serbia and the United Kingdom should make efforts in the coming period to further advance international police cooperation in this and other areas, within the framework of the existing memorandum on enhanced cooperation in the fight against organised immigration crime.
