Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Serbia Mohamed Abdallah Namoura to discuss opportunities for continuing the development of bilateral relations.
Macut emphasised that Serbia is committed to developing cooperation with the State of Palestine in areas and projects of mutual interest, including the strengthening of political dialogue and the exchange of visits when conditions allow.
He underlined that Serbia has not changed its principled position on resolving the Palestinian question, which, as he stressed, is in accordance with the applicable norms of international law and the relevant initiatives and resolutions of the United Nations, as confirmed by Serbia’s voting record on this issue in the UN General Assembly.
The interlocutors reaffirmed that the traditionally good relations between Serbia and Palestine are based on mutual understanding, respect and solidarity.
