“With pride and gratitude, we preserve the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the homeland.
Their sacrifice remains an eternal vow to descendants to preserve the peace and freedom of Serbia,” Macut wrote in the memorial book.
The Armistice Day in World War I is marked in Serbia with a series of ceremonies, wreath-laying and tributes, in memory of 11 November 1918, when the armistice was signed, ending World War I.
