Macut said that in recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership and friendship between the two countries have been strengthened, and bilateral cooperation has reached its highest level, owing to the personal contribution of the two presidents – Aleksandar Vučić and Xi Jinping.
He stated that Serbia is one of the first European countries to have recognised the importance and opportunities offered by the China International Import Expo, and that is why it is present at this event every year with an increasingly diverse and rich presentation.
The Prime Minister added that economic cooperation between Serbia and China is developing dynamically through the implementation of numerous capital projects in the areas of road, railway and energy infrastructure.
Macut pointed out that more and more Chinese companies – investors are present in Serbia, especially in the areas of mining, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy and the automotive industry.
The Prime Minister invited Chinese friends, but also representatives of all other countries, since Shanghai is today a world in miniature, to experience Serbian hospitality at the country's pavilion.
He recalled that Serbia will be the proud host of the international Specialised Expo 2027, for which Belgrade is actively preparing, noting that the event will offer the entire world an opportunity to discover Serbia and its potential in an even more comprehensive manner.
The Prime Minister also attended the opening ceremony of the national pavilion of the Republic of Serbia at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
