Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, stated today that he is deeply concerned over the serious, politically motivated incident that occurred outside the Serbian parliament building, which left one citizen wounded.
Macut underlined that this attack represents a grave and unacceptable act of violence, which deserves the strongest condemnation, noting that Serbia is a country where differences are resolved through dialogue, not through weapons and violence.
The Prime Minister called on all relevant authorities to urgently and thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and to ensure the full protection of security for all citizens.
The Serbian government will not allow anyone to endanger the country’s peace, security and stability, the Prime Minister underlined, adding that there is no place for violence in a society that seeks to move forward.
