The meeting at the Government of Serbia took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, while at the same time providing an opportunity to clarify all the doubts that the administrations of higher education institutions have regarding the method of ranking and enrollment in higher years of study, the status of students financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, the status of self-financing students, as well as the possibilities for extending studies for students who have twice the number of years to complete their studies.
The meeting also discussed the University’s activities regarding the completion of the current school year, the first results of enrollment for 2025/2026, and preparations for the beginning of the next academic year.
The Prime Minister confirmed the state’s commitment to fulfilling all financial obligations and the smooth operation of higher education institutions, in accordance with legal provisions and the previously agreed dynamics.
In the coming period, the Prime Minister will continue to hold meetings with other representatives of state universities, representatives of the Conference of Academies of Vocational Studies, as well as higher education institutions founded by the Republic, all with the aim of getting to know each other, exchanging opinions, and supporting the Government of Serbia.
Today’s meeting with representatives of the University of Novi Sad was also attended by the Provincial Secretary for Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Branko Markoski, PhD.
