Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić attended today the graduation ceremony of students of the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies and the admission of the new generation to this higher education institution.

At the ceremony for 138 graduates of the 2023/2024 class, as well as 135 new students of the 2025/2026 class, along with five colleagues from Republika Srpska, Dačić emphasised that students at the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies will form an important part of the security sector of Serbia and that commitment, knowledge and integrity are expected of them.
The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that without a strong police there can be no strong state, and without security there can be no no economic development and progress, which is why the Ministry of the Interior will continue to invest in equipment, technology and training for its members.
He noted that 34 young women are among the graduates, expressing his wish that their number increase in future generations, adding that the strength of the state lies in those who defend it.
The ceremony was also attended by Police Director General Dragan Vasiljević and the top leadership of the Ministry of the Interior.
