Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić noted today, during a meeting with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Serbia Deyana Kostadinova, the state’s commitment to the protection of children and the youth from violence, exploitation and all other forms of crime.

Dačić also underlined that Serbia is committed to securing all rights of the child which are guaranteed by UN charters.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the great importance of cooperation in this area with UNICEF, as well as with other UN agencies dealing with these issues.
At the meeting, it was agreed that the Ministry of the Interior, by participating in joint initiatives and projects, contributes to the implementation of UNICEF’s goals and missions to which Serbia is committed, and the importance of support which UNICEF provides to Serbia’s state institutions has also been emphasised.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities for improving the current cooperation and cooperation plans in the coming period, according to a statement of the Ministry of the Interior.
