Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, emphasised today, in a conversation with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Serbia Kristin Melsom, that bilateral political relations between the two countries are good, but that there is room for deepening cooperation in many areas of mutual interest.

Macut said that Serbia is interested in further intensifying political dialogue with Norway at the high and highest level.
When it comes to economic cooperation, the Prime Minister stated that Serbia is committed to its further strengthening, but that in certain areas, such as energy, not all opportunities have been sufficiently utilised.
He added that energy has become a priority area of bilateral cooperation with Norway, especially in terms of providing Norwegian expert support to the energy reform process in Serbia.
The Prime Minister emphasised that membership in the European Union is a foreign policy priority and strategic commitment of Serbia and expressed gratitude to Norway for its readiness to use its experience to help Serbia in harmonising standards and regulations with the EU.
Melsom assessed that bilateral relations between the two countries are good and that they are marked by long-standing friendship and understanding.
