Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Ambassador of the State of Israel to Serbia Avivit Bar-Ilan to discuss the continuation of developing the friendly relations between the two countries, founded on mutual trust, respect and understanding.

Serbia open to further strengthening overall cooperation with Israel

Macut emphasised that Serbia is open to further strengthening political dialogue, economic ties and cultural exchange, with special emphasis placed during the talks on finding ways to enhance economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of agriculture, innovative technologies and energy.
The Prime Minister stressed Serbia’s readiness to contribute, through joint projects, to better connectivity with Israel and the creation of new investment opportunities.
The Israeli Ambassador agreed with the Serbian Prime Minister that there are numerous areas of cooperation in which progress can be achieved, especially bearing in mind that Serbia is her country’s reliable partner in the region.
According to her, there is significant potential for further developing relations, especially in the fields of education, science and high technologies.
She once again conveyed her gratitude for the support that Serbia and the Serbian people had extended to Israel in difficult moments.
The interlocutors agreed that the continuation of intensive dialogue is of great importance for advancing overall bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
