Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, condemned in the strongest terms the attack on members of the Ministry of the Interior who, at the call of the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, acted in line with law and their competencies.

Macut underlined that restoring peace and stability in the streets, institutions and among citizens is of crucial importance, noting that faculties in Serbia must remain places of education, science and the formation of future academic citizens, rather than arenas of division and social conflict.
In this context, the Prime Minister urged all stakeholders, citizens, students, professors and institutions to show maximum responsibility, restraint and readiness for dialogue, as this is the only way to maintain public order and achieve common progress.
The Republic of Serbia needs peace and stability in order to be able to continue its development and progress in the interest of all its citizens, the Prime Minister underlined.
