Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić announced today that our country will send international humanitarian aid to Montenegro in extinguishing fires at the Đurkovići-Rogami location, near Podgorica.
Dačić stated that the aid will be sent on the order of the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, and in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro on Cooperation in Protection from Natural and Other Disasters.
He specified that the Ministry of the Interior will send the largest helicopter it has, the Kamov type, with a carrying capacity of five tons, due to the large number of fires that are currently threatening a large territory in that country.
According to him, six members of the Helicopter Unit and one member of the Emergency Situations Sector will also be sent to Montenegro.
The first task will be to extinguish the fire in the vicinity of Podgorica, but in any case we can respond to emergency situations throughout the territory of Montenegro, he underlined and emphasised that at the same time we have available capacities for possible fires in our country.
