In his opening remarks at the fourth session of that body, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin, Dačić pointed out that in recent years there has been a significant intensification of political dialogue between the two countries and visits at the high and highest levels.
He pointed to the growth of trade exchange in the last two years and emphasised that there is significant space for improving the placement of agricultural and food products on the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union, as he emphasised, is of great importance for the development of bilateral economic cooperation, as well as the fact that Kazakhstan was our second partner in terms of the total value of trade in goods in 2024.
In the final part of the work of this commission, Dačić emphasised that the Government of Serbia is making great efforts to create an encouraging environment for attracting new direct investments.
The Deputy Prime Minister also referred to Specialised Expo 2027, emphasising that it will be the first Expo ever to be held in the Western Balkans region.
After the session, Dačić and Zhumangarin signed the Protocol from the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Serbian-Kazakhstan Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.
