First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali today chaired a meeting of the Consultative Team for Security Issues in connection with the organisation of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade.
Mali emphasised that the organisation of the Expo is a significant logistical challenge.
He noted that exceptional organisation and coordination across all systems will be required throughout the 93 days of the exhibition. Serbia is preparing well in advance to ensure that, alongside the programme itself, the security of all participants is maintained at the highest possible level – and this will be achieved, Mali said.
The First Deputy Prime Minister stated that, in addition to a fire station, an Operations Centre will be established at the Expo location to coordinate cooperation and the timely exchange of information between all relevant city and state institutions.
According to him, in addition to military and police capacities, 20,000 volunteers will also be engaged.
We are preparing the largest event ever organised in Serbia, and all available institutional capacities will be involved, because the successful organisation of this event is an opportunity to show the world how much Serbia has developed, concluded Mali.
