Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today with representatives of the Chinese company Zijin about the company's investments in Serbia to date, plans for improving its business, as well as the further development of the mining sector in accordance with the highest environmental standards.

The Prime Minister emphasised that Zijin is one of the largest foreign investors in Serbia and an important partner in the development of local communities, creating new jobs and strengthening the country's industrial potential.
He underlined that the Serbian government remains committed to improving the investment climate and preserving stability, with special care for environmental protection and respect for workers' rights, and in this context called on company representatives to strengthen environmental protection capacities, not only in the vicinity of the Bor mine, but also throughout eastern Serbia.
Representatives of Zijin thanked Prime Minister Macut for the support that the Serbian government provides to investors and stated that the company is planning new investments that will contribute to the growth of production, using the most advanced technologies, given that green development is the company's concept.
