Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić today in Svrljig presented eight drinking water tanks that the Ministry of the Interior has made available for use, in order to support the population in conditions of water shortage.

After visiting the members of the Fire and Rescue Unit and the Police Station in Svrljig, Macut emphasised that the tanks will remain at the disposal of the municipality of Svrljig as long as there is a need for them.
We are aware that this issue is of vital importance, especially in the summer months when conditions are difficult, the Prime Minister said, emphasising that this is a symbolic but significant assistance.
The Prime Minister stated that the government will continue to invest efforts in a long-term solution to the water supply problem in this municipality.
He emphasised that caring for people and their basic needs, such as healthy, drinking water, is and remains an absolute priority of the Government of Serbia.
