Belgrade summer festival BELEF 06 was opened last night in Dom Sindikata with a performance of American multimedia artist Laurie Anderson, who staged her music project dedicated to famous scientists Nikola Tesla.
Inspired by Tesla, Lori Anderson has worked during this year on new songs which she presented for the first time to the Belgrade audience. With her music and lyrics, she looked for answers concerning the relationship between the individual and the media which swamp human essence and estrange contemporary man who is confused and lonely.
Anderson performed the project "Songs and Stories" dedicated to famous inventor Tesla on the day when this great man was born 150 years ago and whose birthday is celebrated in Serbia and the world.
