Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with a delegation from the Caribbean states of Saint Lucia and Saint Kitts and Nevis, led by their parliament speakers Claudius Francis and Lanien Blanchette, respectively.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the meeting with representatives of the Caribbean countries was very important due to their stance on strategically significant issues for the Republic of Serbia.
He noted that the meeting was also a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences regarding longstanding cooperation and to further enhance communication that will be beneficial to both sides.
The Prime Minister stated that it is important to advance cooperation in the field of education, particularly concerning the awarding of student scholarships.
The meeting also addressed enhancing cooperation in trade, security and issues related to improving the status of persons with disabilities.
