Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today with President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež about the state of the economy and the possibilities for further improving relations between the state and businesses.
Macut highlighted the importance of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce as a connector between the state and businesses, and in this regard announced even more intensive cooperation between the government and the Chamber, for the benefit of the state, businesses and citizens.
The Prime Minister particularly emphasised the importance of educating businesspeople, which is a significant segment of work of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, for improving domestic business operations.
This, as he pointed out, is a common goal of the government and the Chamber, to which the government is fully committed.
Čadež presented to the Prime Minister the work and activities of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which are based on representing the interests of businesses before state institutions and authorities, implementing company initiatives, internationalising business, strengthening export capacities, and educating and digitising the economy.
The meeting also looked at dual education, which has been implemented in Serbia for more than a decade with the aim of educating quality personnel, in accordance with the needs of the economy and the labour market.
