Investment in technical equipment, personnel strengthening important for more efficient police work

The Prime Minister was informed about the work of the Centre, as well as the functioning of the video surveillance system and police activities, on the occasion of ensuring public order and peace during the May Day holiday.
Dačić thanked Prime Minister Macut for the visit, emphasising that, despite major challenges, members of the Ministry of the Interior are performing their duties with dedication and responsibility and are making great efforts to ensure the safety of all citizens.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that even today, during the holiday, several thousand members of the Ministry of the Interior and the police in Serbia are at their workplaces and are performing their duties with dedication.
Prime Minister Macut thanked the police officers present for their dedicated work so far and told them that respecting the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Serbia and caring for the safety of all citizens of Serbia are their primary tasks, and that he believes in their professionalism and ability to respond to all tasks in the best possible way.
The Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior agreed that further investment in technical equipment and staffing of the entire Ministry of the Interior is of key importance for more efficient police work and improving internal security in Serbia.
