This event which is titled “The Wealth of Diversity” will last the whole day on the Strand, beaches on the Danube, and organisers are expecting 20,000 guests, also last year’s total.
This unique display of ethnic dances, culinary skills and other tourist attractions is being held under the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in the framework of the programme Community Revitalisation through Democratic Action.
Visitors will be welcomed by more than 1000 performers belonging to cultural and artistic societies, and some 100 stalls will sell handicrafts specific to Serbs, Hungarians, Croatians, Bunjevac, Sokac and Rusin, minorities, Danube sub-river basin Germans, Jews, Ukrainians, Roma, Montenegrins, Macedonians and Vlaha.
Besides beverages, the festival will also offer 300 different culinary specialties, including 40 kinds of stewed meat seasoned with paprika.
