In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, Kojadinovic said that at the conference which is being held in the Bulgarian city Varna, agreement was reached to form a joint working group and make a proposal regarding buildings which will be gradually reconstructed and introduced into joint projects.
He said that in Varna he talked with Minister of Culture Astrit Haraci in the interim Kosovo government on the reconstruction of churches and monasteries which were damaged in the escalation of violence in Kosovo-Metohija in March 2004.
The Minister noted that there are still technical problems about the tender for execution of works on reconstruction of churches and monasteries in Kosovo-Metohija, but noted that this construction season will be more successful than the previous two.
According to him, a lot of work will be done in the monastery of Devic this year as well as in churches of Holy Mother of Ljevis in Prizren, Saint George in Prizren, Saint Nikola in Pristina, Purification of the Virgin Mary in Belo Polje and Saint Ilija in Vucitrn.
He noted that reconstruction will be financed by the Council of Europe and some other international organisations through UNMIK adding that the Serbian government greatly contributes to the reconstruction of Serbian monasteries and churches in the province.
