The Days of Serbian Cinema opened in Minsk, Belarus, yesterday. The event will last until May 16, and five Serbian films will be screened – Sky Hook (Nebeska Udica), The Harms Case (Slucaj Harms), Who Sings Over There (Ko To Tamo Peva), The White Suit (Belo Odelo) and Underground (Andergraund).
The Days of Serbian Cinema are being organised in cooperation with the embassy of Belarus in Serbia-Montenegro, the Minsk City Executive Committee, Belarus Ministry of Culture and the Serbian Ministry of Culture.
Prior to the opening of the event a press conference was held in Minsk, at which great interest was shown in the current Serbian film production and Serbian cinematography in general.
It was announced on the occasion that the Belarus national television will show nearly 50 Serbian films in the 2006/2007 season, within the framework of the programme “Year of Serbian Cinema.”
