Prime Minister Miloš Vučević attended tonight the opening of the largest concert, congress and cinema hall in Southeast Europe at the "Sava Centre" in Belgrade, which also marked the completion of the building’s three-year reconstruction.
The opening of the "Blue Hall" was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić, Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović, Minister of Information and Telecommunications Dejan Ristić, as well as numerous figures from public life.
The capacity of the hall has been increased from 3,672 to 4,000 seats, it will have the largest 3D screen in the region, improved acoustics, and its reconstruction is worth €40 million.
The "Blue Hall" can now host the most complex musical and stage events, and the already improved acoustics are supported by special audio systems for film screenings, concerts and congress events.
This is also the first renovated building in the region that will have the BREEAM certificate – one of the most important systems for ranking the impact of a building on the environment.
