Belgrade-Beska highway to be completed June 10

Serbian Capital Investment Minister Velimir Ilic has announced that a 32-kilometre section of the highway between Belgrade and Beska will be opened on June 10.
Ilic told a press conference at the main government building today that the construction of the Ostruznica bridge on the River Sava, Lipak Tunnel, and some other bridges are about to be completed.
According to Ilic, a total €450 million has been provided for the reconstruction and modernization of 650 kilometres of highways in Serbia.
Ilic also said a bill on roads is being drafted and added that it should be introduced in the parliament in June. A bill on road safety will be in parliament in September or October, he said.
Ilic also said the deadline to legalize illegal building will be extended and announced the passing of legislation to make the process cheaper and more efficient.
