Ilic told a press conference that in the first three months of the year, the Tax Administration registered VAT evasion of approximately 4.3 billion dinars. He explained that if this trend continues, that sum will reach 10% of Serbia's budget for 2006, or more than 40 billion dinars by the end of the year.
He specified that in the first quarter of the year the Tax Administration submitted 453 criminal complaints against 418 persons because of tax evasion.
