Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said today that the Žiča Monastery is one of the pillars of the nation's statehood and that, therefore, investing in it is necessary.
In his address to the journalists after the visit to this temple, Vučević pointed out that the plan is to arrange the complete façade of the monastery, and work is also being done on the arrangement of the area around the monastery.
He stated that there can be no modernisation without history and spirituality, nor can sufficient investment be made in the protection, preservation and arrangement of culture without a stronger economy and economy.
Within the Žiča monastery, in June of this year, the rehabilitation project of access roads and plateaus was completed, for which the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure allocated RSD 91 million.
Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković pointed out that the goal is to complete the reconstruction of the Žiča monastery by 2027, when a large number of tourists will visit Serbia due to Expo, and when the highway to Kraljevo will also be completed.
