Dimitrijevic told a press conference that representatives of 30 countries will offer over 60,000 tourist arrangements at the forthcoming fair.
Apart from new hotels, the Montenegrin offer and over 100 follow-up programmes, visitors will for the first time see tourist offers of Singapore and Libya, as well as Egypt, Tunisia and distant exotic sites, said Dimitrijevic.
The Minister said he expects that the fair will attract a record number of visitors and that it will become one of the leading fairs of this type in Southeastern Europe.
He also announced that there are serious signals that cooperation with tourist fairs in UK will start soon.
General manager of the Belgrade Fair Andjelko Trpkovic recalled that the Belgrade fair will offer an impressive 14,000 square metres of exhibition space this year, compared with 4,000 square metres at the 2001 tourist fair. The entrance price is 200 dinars while parking per hour will cost 60 dinars, he said.
Director of the Serbian Tourist Organisation Milica Cubrilo said that the fair will present Serbia’s congress and rural tourism for the first time this year as well as two pilot films about tourism.
