Prime Minister Miloš Vučević talked today with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Serbia Edward Ferguson about the all-encompassing bilateral cooperation and the possibilities for its strengthening.

Strengthening partnership with UK in numerous fields

Vučević pointed out that the economic cooperation between the two countries developed dynamically in the past few years, stressing that there is potential for strengthening the partnership in numerous areas, especially in energy and energy transition, as well as in infrastructure projects.
The Prime Minister stated that the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of energy between Serbia and the United Kingdom should attract investors from that country to invest in Serbia and emphasised that this cooperation needs to be made concrete.
He said that one of Serbia's priorities is strategic investment and finding sustainable solutions to achieve energy stability through green energy, and in this sense, he expressed his belief that there is great potential for cooperation with the UK.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Serbia's goal is to preserve peace and stability in the region, noting that the resolution on Srebrenica does not contribute to cooperation and building good relations.
The Prime Minister expressed his concern about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and emphasised that it is necessary to put pressure on Priština in order to continue the dialogue and stop the terror that is being perpetrated against the Serbian people in the southern province.
Ferguson said that Great Britain is particularly interested in cooperation in the fields of energy, i.e. renewable energy sources, pointing out that Serbia has excellent projects on which they can cooperate in the future.
