Prime Minister Miloš Vučević met today with the rector of the University of Belgrade Vladan Đokić with whom he discussed the improvement of the higher education financing system.
At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the intensification of work on the drafting of a new law on the financing of higher education, in order to overcome the challenges in this area.
The Prime Minister of Serbia pointed out that for this purpose a new working group will be formed, which will be led by Minister of Education Slavica Đukić Dejanović, who attended the meeting in the government of Serbia.
Vučević emphasised that education is one of the pillars of our country and that this area is one of the priorities of the new Government of Serbia.
Rector Đokić congratulated Vučević on his election as Prime Minister and added that the University of Belgrade wants a partnership with the government of Serbia, with the aim of improving higher education in the Republic of Serbia.
