Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić and President of Svilajnac Municipality Predrag Milanović opened today in the village of Vojska a new concrete bridge on the Great Morava, in the construction of which RSD 870 million were invested.

On that occasion, Vučević recalled that since the time of King Alexander the First Karađorđević, no bridge has been built in Svilajnac, and said that it is our obligation to never let a century pass before a new bridge is built.
The bridge, named after the hero of the First Serbian Uprising, Stevan Sinđelić, who was born in the village of Vojska, is 176 metres long, 8.3 metres wide, has two carriageways of three metres each and two pedestrian paths. It rests on six pillars, four of which are in the river, and has a load capacity of 45 tons, so it is also designed for heavy freight traffic.
It was built on the site of a former suspension bridge, which was erected by the Yugoslav People's Army at the end of the 1960s.
